2005 General Projects
In 2005 the following projects were successful in gaining funding:
- Catholic HIV/AIDS Ministry Retreat for people infected/affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Subsidised respite packages at Corazon, Werribee.
- Support for an Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre in Victoria.
- Enabled refugees and those in emergency accomodation to become part of St Peter Chanel School community.
- Josephite Community Aid - Teaming Sudanese Refugee Women and their Children with young Australian Volunteers.
- Following the success of the initial program, continued assistance to groups of country people in isolated communities in WA to nourish their spiritual formation and welfare.
- Provision of resources for an intervention programme in Bunbury and Geraldton, WA, for young people in an isolated and disadvantaged area so they can, through self help, become good social and spiritual citizens.
- Provided support for West Papuan refugee.
- Support and empowerment of newly arrived Sudanese families in Sunshine, Victoria.
- Installed technology at St Joseph's Retreat House, Safety Bay, Western Australia.
- In Qld, funded a rehabilitation and relocating program for people rejected by welfare agencies.
- Empowering the Laity - Promoting Spiritual Development for those
suffering distress.
- Emergency relief distribution fund - known as Repay-Only-Loan.
