Applying for FundingIntroductionOne of the main purposes of the Mary MacKillop Foundation is to enable work in the spirit and tradition of Mary MacKillop to continue. For this reason the Foundation seeks applications from individuals or organisations that are carrying out such work. There are two kinds of projects that the Mary MacKillop Foundation supports: 1. General ProjectsThe Mary MacKillop Foundation distributes funds/grants once a year in September for general projects throughout Australia. The closing date for General Project Applications is 30th June each year. This Application Form requires two Josephite endorsements before it can be considered. This endorsement informs the General Projects Review & Evaluation Committee that the proposed project is in keeping with the vision and spirit of Mary MacKillop. **Applications Have Now Closed for 2008**
2. Projects in partnership with Aboriginal AustraliansThe Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Projects Review & Evaluation Committee of the Board receives applications for projects twice a year: 28th February and 31st July. The application must be endorsed by both a member of the Aboriginal community involved and a Sister of St Joseph or Josephite Associate, before its return to the Foundation office for consideration. This endorsement is to reflect the partnership nature of the project and that it is in keeping with the spirit and vision of Mary MacKillop. A new Application Form for Projects in Partnership with Aboriginal Australians is being developed and will be available before end of year for February 2009 applications. Download this Application Form or call our office at North Sydney on 02 9929 7344.
