Applying for Funding
Guidelines
When applying for funds from the Mary MacKillop Foundation the following guidelines may be helpful.
- Before the application form is completed, the Vision, Purpose and Mission of the Foundation must be read carefully. It is essential
that each Project is such that it will enable the Foundation to carry out its purpose.
- Only Projects within Australia can be funded by the Mary MacKillop Foundation, as it is registered as a
Public Benevolent Institution and is required to relieve distress within Australia.
- Organisations who have an ABN (Australian Business Number) must include this on the Application. This will be required
if the Foundation accepts the application and asks that organisation to act as its agent in carrying out the
proposed Project in order to relieve distress of the group specified.
- Applications must be endorsed as required on the application forms. The endorsement by the Josephites and
by a member of the Aboriginal Community in the case of Aboriginal Partnerships Projects, is essential before an
application will be considered.
- The Foundation does not fund salaries, stipends, staff release costs or admistration costs of organisations applying for funding.
