Criteria

General Projects

The guiding principle of any provision of funds will be that the proposed project

• Contributes to the principal object of the Mary MacKillop Foundation Limited

• Is in keeping with at least one of the specific objectives of the Foundation

• Reflects the Vision of the Foundation

The specific objectives of the Foundation are assisting:

• people who want to work together creatively for the elimination of suffering, destitution, helplessness and poverty;

• community based self help projects that relieve distress caused by poverty, disability, sickness, misfortune or lack of basic resources;

• people to overcome destitution, isolation, and the effects of misfortune in order to achieve an increased measure of self reliance and human dignity;

• those who cannot help themselves, to retain and observe their customary values, traditions and culture that address their social and spiritual welfare and thereby relieves suffering;

• those in serious need in the same spirit as Mary MacKillop.
