Saint Mary MacKillop was a courageous woman of action. Born in 1842, she showed compassion for anyone in need regardless of race, colour or faith.

Mary believed in the power of education for all and set up schools across Australia to make sure those disadvantaged by poverty and distance received an education. Today, in an increasingly complex society we must carry on Mary's legacy to continue helping people in need,
with the aim of creating more connected, stronger communities.
